Purpose of Position
The Business Systems Analyst II utilizes experience and systems knowledge to solve complex problems. Individuals in this role shall specialize in a functional area and have the ability to provide consultative assistance to other functional areas at the university. Other responsibilities shall include writing specifications; performing system and data analysis; implementing and modifying systems; and approving detail test plans.
The Business Systems Analyst II may also be required to provide technical configuration, testing, security and support maintenance of NKU’s enterprise management system; and may oversee development assignments across multiple projects.
The Business Systems Analyst II serves as a back up to the Senior Systems Analyst/Senior Business Analyst; serves as a trainer to the Business Analyst; a decision maker and a SAP business knowledge resource.
Support functional areas including, but not limited to, the following: reviewing project opportunity proposals, writing specifications; performing system and data analysis; implementing and modifying systems; and approving detail test plans. Manage small to medium projects. 25%
Provide technical configuration, testing, security and support maintenance of NKU’s enterprise management system. 20
Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. 20%
Works closely with and serves as primary backup for area manager 15%
Testing support for projects and support pack/enhancement pack implementation 10%
Maintains and implements standards, documentation and best practices for both SAP and university applications. 5%

Major in computer information systems, management information systems or a related field is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. This position will work collaboratively with multiple teams, and will be required to create and organize written materials.
