Job Function:
Participate in fundamental research in biochemistry, contribute to cutting-edge advancements in Nucleic Acid BioNanotechnology & help advance progress of NIH proposal.
Minimum Education:
At least one semester of education beyond high school.
Minimum Experience:
Previous work experience in a chemistry research lab environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in the synthesis and purification of RNA and 2'-modified RNA oligonucleotides, as well as the assembly of Nucleic Acid Nanoparticles (NANPs) with a primary focus on physicochemical characterization.
- Follow protocols and maintain precise lab book records.
- Upkeep & maintain lab equipment to include troubleshooting.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Familiarize with literature in the field, emphasizing DNA and RNA structures and functions.
