Job Description

The Marketing & Supply Chain Management Division (MSCM) of the Price College of Business (PCB), University of Oklahoma (OU), continues to be in an ambitious, multi-year period of growth and expansion. In support of this expansion, applications are invited for a tenure track position in Supply Chain Management at the assistant or associate professor rank. Doctoral candidates in supply chain management or closely related fields are encouraged to apply if they are likely to complete their doctoral degrees by August 2023. This position will start in August 2023.

Our supply chain management group continues to focus on all facets of supply chain management research utilizing empirical, analytical, and conceptual techniques. The MSCM Division houses undergraduate programs in Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Healthcare, supports many of PCB's graduate programs and has just launched an exciting new online MS in Supply Chain Management. The division's undergraduate program in SCM was recently ranked by Gartner as a Top 20 undergraduate program.

In addition to conducting high quality research, successful candidates will be expected to teach in our undergraduate/graduate courses and our recently launched online master's in supply chain management program. Primary teaching responsibilities include supply chain topics across all levels of our academic programs.

The Price College of Business at OU continues to flourish. The Price College of Business is AACSB-accredited with approximately 5,000 undergraduate, 700 master's, and 35 doctoral students. Several Price undergraduate and master's programs have been ranked among the nation's top programs of their sizes.

Required Qualifications

  • a doctoral degree (or ABD) in supply chain management or a closely related field
  • commensurate with experience, evidence of premiere research in supply chain management
  • evidence of high-quality teaching

Preferred qualifications:

  • work experience in any area of supply chain management or closely a closely related field 
  • experience engaging with the supply chain management business community
  • experience teaching online courses at the undergraduate or graduate level
  • experience teaching at different levels (undergraduate, graduate, etc.)
