Job Description

Summary

Evaluates and treats outpatient adults with communication disorders and/or swallowing disorders.  This position is located at the Fournace Outpatient Neurological Rehabilitation Clinic at Harris Health System.

Job Duties

  • Schedules appointments, discusses patient progress and/or status with physicians and other professionals.
  • Provides patient/family education.
  • Monitors patient needs.
  • Documents daily treatment and evaluation results.
  • May supervise student externs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • One year of relevant experience.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Texas State Licensure as a Speech Pathologist from the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).
