What You Will Achieve
Situated within Pfizer's Research and Development (R&D) organization, the Durham Clinical Manufacturing Facility (DCMF) is helping to lead the health care industry in the rapidly expanding field of AAV gene therapies and RNA manufacturing. We are working to bring new treatments into the clinic with the promise of changing patients’ lives. The newly constructed DCMF partners with our Process Development teams to manufacture early clinical stage (Ph1/2) cGMP material, producing both drug substance and drug product. The facility is located near the Interstate 40 and 540 intersection
How You Will Achieve It
Provide cross functional team support in material planning, ordering, receipt, and release process for biotechnology manufacturing processes
Oversee the allocation of material inventories based on the manufacturing campaign needs
Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), including change history, for multi-product facility. Ensure update of material inventory forecasts as required
Coordinate material needs between cross function teams of Tech Transfer Engineers, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, and Material Coordinators
Identified optimal inventory, safety stocks, and replenishment levels for materials
Monitor material status, expiries, and inventories, ensuring material orders and transfers are adjusted/prioritized as needed
Ensures proper communication and information flow for material defects and vendor complaints
Work with material vendors to obtain quotes on new and custom materials.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience
Strong working knowledge of supply chain and/or materials management principles
Ability to perform complex data analysis and work in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and computer skills
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to gown into cleanroom environment when needed.
Must be able to perform complex data analysis.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in a clean room environment
Minimal travel for training/transfer meetings may be required
Infrequent off-hours work to support manufacturing
Work Location Assignment: Flexible colleagues are assigned a Pfizer site within a commutable distance where they work about 2-3 days weekly to connect and innovate with their team face-to-face. However, they also benefit from being able to work offsite regularly when it makes business sense to do so.
