Job Description

Position Description
The Sinclair lab is known for their work on genes and small molecules that delay or reverse aging. They have identified a new approach to safely reverse the age of tissues and used it to restore the vision of old mice, a study that was recently on the cover of Nature. The lab has a wide range of expertise and interests, including cancer, neurodegeneration, blindness, diabetes, and muscle degeneration.

The individual will work under specific direction, to prepare and maintain material for laboratory analysis according to established technical procedures.

Duties may include:
  • Operating scientific equipment.
  • Maintaining cultures and other experimental matter.
  • Performing standard experimental tests and procedures.
  • Performing related job duties as required.
  • Recording results of experiments according to standard laboratory techniques.
  • Presenting experimental results at lab meetings.
Basic Qualifications
  • Related college course work preferred.
  • One year of experience in laboratory work preferred.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
Good record keeping, analytical and communication skills.
Additional Information
This is a one-year term position from the date of hire, with the possibility of extension, contingent upon work performance and continued funding to support the position. 

Offer contingent upon successful completion of a pre-placement medical evaluation.
