Job Description

Argonne National Laboratory's Accelerator Systems Division (ASD) provides best-in-class operation, maintenance and upgrade of the Advanced Photon Source accelerators and support users in doing outstanding science in a safe environment.

Argonne's Accelerator Systems Division is seeking a Technician III - Electro-Mechanical/Technician Sr - Electro-Mechanical to:

  • Under some supervision, perform simple to moderately complex maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, repair, fabrication, and testing of accelerator electro-mechanical systems and related/or accelerator projects.

  • Diagnose and fix simple to moderately complex problems affecting accelerator electro-mechanical systems using a variety of tools, devices, software, equipment and instrumentation.

  • Maintain logs and technical documentation by taking measurements and recording observations related to electro-mechanical system maintenance, system performance, and system modifications.

  • TECH III - Associate's degree & 3 years of experience, or equivalent
