Position Summary:
The Assistant Video Editor will be responsible for assisting in the production of video content that aligns with the brand, mission, and vision as well as keeping the Health Studios postproduction workflow running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. This role is vital in the process of executing video projects from concept through completion and bringing thought-leadership content and recorded events to life. Reporting to the System Director, Production and Multimedia and working closely with the Lead Video Editor, the ideal candidate is a story minded and detail-oriented individual who is experienced in managing more than one concurrent project in a high-speed, high-performance environment.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Assist Editor and Director with all video editing for campaigns and multimedia projects. This includes but not limited to: ingest raw footage and media, transcoding, organizing and prepping projects for editing. This also includes creating and linking proxies, creating stringouts for assembly and edit, and conforming projects for color and audio mixes.
  • Final delivery and downstream distribution of media assets, including conforms, quality assurance, delivery, distribution, media management, and archival.
  • Occasional video editing lead

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor's degree; 4 additional years of experience plus the minimum experience requirement may substitute for minimum education.
  • 1-3 years of related experience

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $24.72 - $35.71 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
