As a successful candidate, you will:

Evaluate, recommend and implement installation of telecommunications equipment, systems, software/hardware and related telecommunication services. Maintain installed telecommunications systems and sub-systems. Will supervise technicians.

Will supervise and prioritize the work of 2-3 technicians.

Provision PBX and PBX related subsystems. Ensures hardware and software is current to be supported by the service providers.

Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and JCAHO standards.

Coordinates moves, adds and changes related to voice and video services.

Evaluate and oversee all voice technology and carrier services.

Receives and resolves user complaints regarding telecommunications systems and equipment problems.

Make all changes to system databases. i.e.: PBX, voice mail, ACD, 911, CDR, etc.

Develops and coordinates distribution of City of Hope hospital personnel directory on a semi-annual basis.

Monitors telecommunications equipment usage, receives invoices from vendors, verifies charges and processes for payment.

Design and implement call processing and ACD applications.

Provides reports on various usage and analysis of systems.

Write RFPs and RFQ for telecommunication related services and equipment. Evaluate such responses and make final decisions.

Educate and train staff and end users.

Will assist dept. Director in drafting performance evaluations for staff.

Supervise vendor maintenance.

Follows established City of Hope and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines, including adherence to the workplace Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan. Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Your qualifications should include:

  • High School or equivalent
  • Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
  • Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
  • Three to five years experience in voice application development
  • Phone Protocol, Time Management

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $41.92 - $64.97 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
