Job Description
What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking an Intern Year-Round - Clerical Union Undergrad
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Assist in maintaining the supply rooms/copier rooms for each floor by:
- Re-stock of supply cabinets
- Replace shredder bags as needed
- Replace “Sensitive” white bags when full and submit Destruction tickets
- Fill fleet copier trays with paper
- Order paper when needed
- Order supplies for staff and Office Administrative Assistants
- Order water for each floor
- Assist with move arrangements for new staff
- Assist with reapplication tickets
- Assist with Conference Room in ensure they are working properly and submitting trouble tickets to resolve issues.
- Assist with updating weekly calendars for all 705-conference room, project room, focus room, and manager calendars.
- Update Staff Information Badge cards
- Schedule meetings
- Assist with vehicle maintenance, gas, emissions, car washes, etc.
- Take vehicles to and from Fleet Services for maintenance
- Escort staff members and contractors
Qualifications We Require:
You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:
- Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0
- Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
- U.S. citizenship
As a condition of employment, the selected candidate will be represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), which requires monthly membership dues or agency fees. New hires into an OPEIU represented position will remain in the initial position for twelve (12) months before being eligible to be considered for other Sandia employment.

Security Clearance:
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
