Job Description

Summary

This part -time Pharmacist will be expected to support the implementation of clinical research protocols by providing essential investigational drug services to investigators and research personnel with responsibilities critical and central to the conduct of the clinical investigations according to standard operation procedures, Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, and the applicable regulatory requirements.

Job Duties

  • Manages protected health information based on the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Monitors all aspects of investigational products (IP) while they are onsite. This includes accountability, ordering, receipt, storage, monitoring storage environment, security, preparation, inventory, and disposal.
  • Performs and maintains all required documentation of investigational drug use.
  • Maintains the blind for IP based on protocol and unit requirements.
  • Interacts with the clinic personnel, study Sponsors, study monitors, regulatory agencies, and study participants.
  • Attends various study-specific trainings throughout a study is required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
  • No experience required.
  • Current licensure from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
