Role Description

The Pfizer Digital Revenue Management (RM) team manages the technology strategy and solutions delivery for the US Market Access Operations Business within the Global Value and Access organization.  The MARM team plays a critical role in ensuring patients have access to breakthrough medicines through efficient channels at affordable pricing. The Manager Solutions Engineer will work alongside with US Digital Leads and the solutions delivery development team located in Greece supporting Revenue Management and Market Access of US market as a contributor on multiple projects based on client demands.  The candidate will be involved with the business areas including Contract Strategy and Operations, Contract Insights, Customer Service and Trade Operations. The candidate will collaborate with various digital groups of Pfizer and external vendors. This role provides the opportunity to work with exciting breakthrough technologies, integrate with key enterprise systems and be part of Pfizer Digital.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing, developing and delivering solutions through requirements documentation, business analysis, technical development, and process optimization.
  • Responsible for estimating work efforts for the assigned solutions/projects.
  • Manage business request prioritization with peers in Pfizer Digital.
  • Responsible for acting as onboarding resource and mentor to newer colleagues
  • Must be able to multi-task and perform a wide variety of tasks simultaneously such as organize presentations for upper management, perform system testing, and organize meetings.
  • Work with peers in Pfizer Digital to project financial estimates for small projects.
  • Work with peers to manage project delivery through system development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Methodologies
  • Work with peers to manage external system implementation vendors to deliver on projects according to project timelines.
  • Act as a thought leader on emerging digital technologies.
  • Use technical acumen and knowledge of technologies to provide detailed advice regarding applications and executes specialized tasks.
  • Analyze trends, identify and lead implementation of process improvements.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a large corporate setting with an emphasis on solutions and application development.
  • Strong development skills in ETL Snowflake, Informatica, Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL, Business Objects, Tableau, AWS, Unix Scripting.
  • Experience with cloud hosted solutions including AWS.
  • Ambition to learn and utilize emerging Artificial intelligence technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills especially with customers.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of solutions delivery and delivery methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Can-do and positive attitude.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • M.Sc. in a relative field.
  • Technology solutions delivery in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
  • Competency in understanding organizational behaviors in a large corporate environment.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle management including requirements definition, design, testing and implementation.
  • Experience with external Contract Management vendor solutions such as the ModelN FLEX application.
  • Knowledge of database, storage, hosting, cloud, application, analytics and services technologies.
  • Experience building relationships with both business partners and Digital technical teams.
  • Understanding of system auditing principles and guidelines.
