What You Will Achieve 

Joining Pfizer’s finance team, your position will be responsible for supporting operations colleagues in building their budget and reviewing their actuals as well as in answering any finance question/need. The team is also responsible for the legal entities hosting the international inter-company transactions and will have an oversight role on these legal entities, understanding the key drivers of the financial statements as well as the major fluctuations. You and your team will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements of the Pfizer legal entities. 
 

As a Senior Manager, you will be setting the objectives for multiple projects in your division. Your managerial and technical skills will help in guiding the people in your division. Your understanding of the external marketplace and customer requirements will facilitate in instituting knowledge sharing practices in your team and outside. You shall be relied on to manage operational activities that support the goals of the division and sets direction for its success.

How You Will Achieve It 

  • Set objectives for and manage multiple projects/ ongoing work activities of moderate complexity within Sub Business Unit/Sub Operating Unit. 

  • Lead development of monthly financial reports for management, explaining material variances from budget and prior forecast. Prepare and present business results, financial projections and analyses to support the clients’ financial and operational objectives. 

  • Issue, deliver country financial statements including review for compliance with Pfizer accounting policies and procedures. 

  • Manage budget creation, forecasts and reporting to clients that are always timely, reliable, focused and relevant for decision making. 

  • Participate in preparation for forecast/budget review meetings with senior leadership and provide any necessary analytics to supplement those reviews.  

  • Monitor forecast/budget sensitivities and post-review adjustments to ensure that the final estimates incorporate decisions/guidance from forecast meetings.  

  • Ensure that the local GAAP preparation and publication are performed accurately and timely in coordination with the Compliance manager. 

  • Review and validate the financial statements after work performed by other stakeholders. 

  • Ensure accurate and complete financial information is provided to external parties when required (i.e., Customs authorities, Tax authorities, etc.).  

  • Ensure the appropriate balance in the team workload between accounting entries and financial statements analysis. 

  • Build and maintain a diverse and inclusive team culture and support Pfizer’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion objectives within the business unit. 

 

Qualifications  
Must-Have 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of experience. 

  • Expertise in statutory accounting and local GAAP procedures. 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP SAP. 

  • Management and supervisory experience.  

  • Strong organizational/negotiation skills and time management capability to prioritize multiple projects. 

 

Nice-to-Have 

  • Master’s degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, create and manage project timelines. 

  • Good people management experience.  

  • Note: Hiring Manager to update education based on local/country requirements.
