Join our team as a Radiation Therapist II, where you will play a vital role in making a difference in the lives of patients and advancing cancer care! Under the guidance of the Radiation Oncologist, you will perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) simulation procedures when applicable, following radiation therapy standards. Your responsibilities will also include delivering radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by physicians, which may involve various procedures such as IMRT, SRS, SBRT, TBI, TBE, HDR, and CT-based simulations. Within this department, you will work with our MRI Linear Accelerator (MRIdian MR Linac made by ViewRay) and our Varian Ethos Machine (Adaptive Intelligence Linac). As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients of all ages.
  • Operate MRI control console for each patient’s scan, including selection of proper imaging techniques and operates various peripheral hardware
  • Reinforce recommendations given to patient by healthcare professional concerning reaction to treatment and care of radiated area, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effects
  • Perform simulation procedures as prescribed by physician and assist in dosimetry procedures
  • Perform diagnostic testing on equipment, general maintenance, and quality assurance as is appropriate
  • Experience with Aria is highly preferred

Your qualifications should include:

  • High School or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program
  • 3 years radiation therapy experience with demonstrated strong technical leadership skills
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course OR
  • Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program
  • Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy)
  • Certification by the ARRT – in Radiation Therapy CRT
  • BLS or CPR

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $56.36 - $90.18 / hour
