You will work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:30am - 5:30am Monday - Friday.

Our Nuclear Medicine Technologists play a crucial role in medical diagnostics and research. Our professional staff is highly skilled to administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and use advanced imaging equipment to capture images of the radioactive material within the body.

Our areas of focus include:

  • PET-CT and other scans for lesion detection of neuroendocrine tumors

  • Multi-Gated Acquisition (MUGA) scans to evaluate the left and right ventricles of the heart

  • Noninvasive images of neuroendocrine and other tumors expressing somatostatin receptors

  • Protascint scans to detect if prostate cancer has spread to the lymph nodes, adjacent tissue or bone

  • Xofigo (Ra 223 dichloride) injections to treat prostate cancer resistant to medical or surgical treatments

  • Skeletal Scintigraphy or bone scans to detect the spread of metastatic cancer

  • Thyroid scans using Iodine-123 or Iodine-111 for the evaluation of thyroid cancers

  • Zevalin regimen to treat non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

Under the direction of a Nuclear Medicine physician, performs high-quality radionuclide imaging and non-imaging studies, including administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating instruments, applying various imaging techniques, and positioning patients to provide maximum diagnostic information.

  • Handles multiple room assignments and various types of exams daily.

  • Participates in performance improvement initiatives and assists with other activities necessary for the department's day-to-day operation.

  • Position may require cross-training in additional modalities as directed by the Director of Radiation/Imaging Services.

  • Shares responsibility for maintaining efficient scheduling, patient flow, and quality assurance, as well as being aware of fiscal soundness within the division.

  • Operates all routine Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography equipment safely and proficiently.

  • Abides by and enforces all JCAHO, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, protocols, and policies, performing these responsibilities ethically and in line with the organization's values.

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school

Minimum Experience Required

  • Two years of experience in a hospital setting

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Nuclear Medicine, ARRT (N), or a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)

  • Must have an active BLS certification

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $32.85 - $54.13 / hour
