Summary
The AIML Data Operations team is a fast paced, dynamic environment. In this role you will engage with teams across Apple’s ecosystem with the ultimate goal of delivering high-quality data to be used for ML algorithm development.
Description
You are a proven people and project manager who can thrive in a fast-paced workplace where both individual drive and team collaboration are the keys to success. You will collaborate with the engineering and annotation teams to deploy scalable data collection pipelines in production. You will plan and track delivery timelines, provide technical expertise and leadership throughout a data request life cycle to ensure the final dataset meets the customer’s quality expectations. You will deliver monthly volume forecast & capacity planning and handle resource and vendor management. You will oversee operational responsibilities including workflow management, process improvement and operations health review, as well as track quality assurance status and training needs. You will engage with your stakeholders to clarify quality, data and testing requirements, discuss edge cases and receive early quality feedback for new data collections. And you will be an exceptional coach, mentor and leader for critical team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree
  • 8+ years of industry experience and passionate about delivering good quality data within project timelines
  • Adept at coaching, leading and motivating a project management team
  • Experienced in client management, building strong relationships and leading multi-functional activities between Production, Quality, Engineering, Training, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing complex data collection and annotation projects is a plus
  • High degree of adaptability, flexibility, creative decision-making and technical problem-solving abilities
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture while working with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Consistent focus on improving, standardizing and automating existing processes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to work in a self-directed environment, and ability to present to senior management
  • Strong decision making and good judgment
  • Able to work collaboratively with engineers across organizations and time zones
