ERP Business Analyst

Department: Information Technology
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Position Overview and Responsibilities
The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation has an immediate opening for an exciting opportunity to work with our administration team as an ERP Business Analyst. The business analyst will be a core member in an ongoing position and take a lead role working with the project team on OMRF's ERP conversion/upgrade projects and related systems. They will work fully onsite with administrative users assisting with planning, design, implementation, testing, and cutover to operation activities. They will help ensure requirements, functional designs, and test scenarios/cases are properly documented and the projects are delivered successfully and with the necessary quality.
Must reside in the state of Oklahoma or be willing to relocate to Oklahoma for application consideration.
Job Functions:
  • Documents business requirements for the ERP and related systems.
  • Documents detailed functional design for the new ERP.
  • Analyzes existing business processes and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Assists team to develop and document new business processes that align with the ERP system capabilities.
  • Ensures that the requirements are being implemented correctly.
  • Collaborates to define the test scenarios and test cases that will be used to validate the system.
  • Tests software as part of project requirements.
  • Monitors the new system and ensures that it is performing as expected.
  • After each implementation, works with business units to enhance and optimize business processes and the ERP systems.
  • Supports end-users during and after implementation and acts as a liaison between OMRF users and ERP systems vendors.
  • Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Prepares and proposes solutions including means to integrate information systems and business processes.
  • Serves as one of the most well-rounded and senior members of the team.
  • Assists with peer-to-peer training and aids in developing enhanced team services and improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or related business analyst certification and at least 3 years of experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Must have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Must have knowledge of gathering requirements for ERP and related systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, diagramming workflows, documenting processes and training materials necessary.
  • Ability to empathize with business operations and understand their technical system requirements.
  • A general understanding of how operating systems and business processes relate and interact.
  • Capability to effectively create and present information to internal and external groups in various formats including design documents and presentations.
  • Experience with drafting functional design documents that effectively communicate SMEs business goals and business requirements.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational and time management skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with assisting in testing and upgrading ERP modules/systems.
  • Experience with databasing for analyzing data, testing, and report writing.
  • Experience with Document Management Systems, Scanning and Digitalization.
  • Technical skills to simplify repetitive end-user tasks using features in MS Excel, Reporting Tools, MS 365 Apps, Workflow and Process Automation.
    Work Hours
    Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
