Job Description

Candidates must hold a doctorate or equivalent degree in civil engineering or a related field. Candidates should have a demonstrated interest and passion for teaching that fosters ingenuity, innovation, communication and leadership skills against the backdrop of rigorous engineering fundamentals. Candidates with background and interest in fluids, water resources or environmental engineering are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will teach courses across the curriculum including these and other upper level Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering Technology courses and labs.

Full time teaching faculty are expected to serve on committees, advise students and student groups, and participate in curriculum development and accreditation efforts as part of a diverse, interdisciplinary and supportive community of learners. Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong teaching skills, and a commitment to high quality university and professional service are expected. The College is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their teaching and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
