FIN 672.01: Programming for Finance
Fall Term 2025, Part B
In-Person Saturdays 10/25,11/8, 11/22, 12/6, 12/13, 8:30am - 12:30pm
Online on Tuesdays 10/21 - 12/9 from 6:00pm - 8:30pm
3 CU course
Location: Moraga, CA
This course equips students with Python programming skills tailored specifically for financial analysis and modeling. The course blends theoretical foundations with hands-on coding exercises to build robust financial models, conduct risk-return analysis, and execute Monte Carlo simulations and portfolio optimization. Additionally, SQL is introduced for data management.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Master's or Ph.D. preferred in a relevant area of Finance discipline, as well as relavant experience with SQL and Python Programming.
Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the graduate level and experience/familiarity with online/hybrid instruction in order to prepare for contingencies. This position requires all course related work to be performed in the state of California.
The salary range for this position is $6,480 -$10,308 dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
