Job Description
Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.Knowledge of applied television broadcast operations and/or video production (i.e. camera operation, setup, fiber care, audio/visual connectivity)
Knowledge of video and broadcast level equipment
Organized; demonstrate equipment quality assurance, care
Ability to perform detailed work and meet required deadlines
Ability to work evenings, both days of the weekend and extended hours. Manual labor.
Demonstrate effective communication skills in working with internal and external constituents
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree with additional consideration to applicants who possess a Masters degree.
One year experience with broadcast engineering
Job Description
Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Broadcast Engineer for the Texas State Athletics Department.
Job Duties
Coordinate various aspects of broadcast operations primarily focusing on engineering, logistics and utility operations for the department’s live sports broadcasting on ESPN television and in-venue display broadcasts
Coordinate pre and post operations including setup and breakdown of all broadcast equipment for live sport and special events, maintaining proper operation of all video and audio equipment; inventory and access all broadcast equipment needs; address repair needs; troubleshoot equipment; other duties as assigned
