Job Description
Summary
The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a part-time Clinical Research Associate for a non-laboratory research position. The individual hired will be responsible for providing research support on a research project related to bioethics and health policy.
This is a part-time position with no benefits, offering a flexible work schedule between the hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Job Duties
- Conduct legal research related to medical practice and licensing laws, as well as related policies
- Draft summaries of legal analyses for internal documentation and publication
- Support empirical research processes, including conducting relevant literature searches and contributing to ethical analysis and interpretation of findings
- Attend relevant project meetings

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in bioethics, humanities, public health, social sciences, or related field. Master’s degree can be accepted in lieu of experience requirement.
- Currently enrolled in a law program as a second-year (2L), third-year (3L), or Master of Laws (LL.M.) student.
- Legal Research experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to display a professional, positive attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills is required, and must be able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented, collaborative mindset with an interest in creating value in any situation through insightful questions and suggestions.
- Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in accepting work assignments, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues.
Work Authorization Requirement:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
