Job Description
Summary
The Research Assistant I will support ongoing computational psychiatry and neuroimaging research projects within the laboratory, with a primary focus on machine learning applications for neuroimaging and psychiatric outcome prediction. Under supervision, this role will assist with the development, testing, and evaluation of computational models using functional MRI (fMRI) datasets, including use of standardized neuroimaging formats such as fslr 32k flatmaps.
Job Duties
- Assist with development and evaluation of machine learning models using neuroimaging datasets (fMRI).
- Support standardized benchmarking of computational model performance.
- Apply existing analytical frameworks to EMERGE research datasets.
- Conduct comparative model testing for psychiatric trait prediction and drug response analyses.
- Maintain research documentation, code organization, and reproducible workflows.
- Prepare summaries of findings for manuscripts, presentations, and conference submissions.
- Collaborate with faculty and research staff on ongoing computational neuroscience projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in basic science or a related field.
