General Information:

James Madison University (JMU) School of Nursing invites applications for a 10-month renewable term appointment at the rank of Lecturer beginning January 10, 2027. The School of Nursing offers CCNE-accredited Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. This position will primarily support the Traditional BSN pathway.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities for this position include teaching, with opportunities to participate in scholarship, and professional, community, and/or university service. The role requires in-person teaching in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings for the Traditional BSN pathway.



Qualifications:

A minimum of a graduate degree in Nursing is required. An active RN registration and eligibility for Virginia nursing licensure are required. Virginia RN licensure must be obtained by January 10, 2027. Candidates must have at least three years of recent clinical experience in women’s health nursing. Teaching experience in higher education and flexibility to teach across a variety of topic areas is preferred.
