Job Description

Pakhomov Laboratory, Frank Reidy Research Center for Bioelectrics https://www.odu.edu/bioelectrics is seeking a Research Associate to support studies of cellular responses to pulsed electric fields, particularly their effects in mammalian cells. Our research uses live-cell fluorescence microscopy, quantitative imaging, and other cell-based experimental techniques.
The successful candidate will participate in experiments, maintain cell cultures, assist with microscopy and data analysis, and help manage laboratory operations and support other researchers. Training in specialized experimental methods will be provided.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in biology, biophysics, biomedical engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred. Prior hands-on research laboratory experience is required. Experience in mammalian cell cultures, fluorescence microscopy, or image analysis is preferred.
